Pot Licker (Pottasleikir) was the fifth of 13 lads (or Jólasveinar or Yulemen),to come down from the mountains, on December 16th.

The Jólasveinar started out in history as terrible trolls, the folklore creating nightmares for Icelandic children. Gryla and Leppaludi were hideously evil, and their cat Jollakotturinn was almost as bad!
In 1746, the Danes (who governed Iceland at the time) outlawed the storytelling. However the stories lived on, but the legend of their behavior seemed to improve. Now they are known to dress up in Santa suits, and their pranks now include pilfering and playing mild tricks.

Each figure is between 4-8 inches in height, and is made of sturdy resin.
